ANGEL BABY DREAM HOUSE
Alexander Stephens uses sculpture, sound and moving images to create realities bred from the familiar but that are physically askew. In order to investigate the aura of mundanity that surrounds our exchanges with one another, Alexander devises minimal, but charged environments where sonic and haptic installation elements manipulate both materials and the audience into a mundane state of constant arousal.
Angel Baby Dream House explores the complex reality of personal projection and power dynamics within relationships of romance and caregiving. Alexander used intimate footage of Anna Nicole Smith and clips from the Reality TV show A Year In Space as source material to create this user based interactive experience
